How does radiology impact public health? Just before being named CEO of E3 International, I attended an Open Street Event held in Cleveland on October 3rd 2014. This stands in the way of open science, which can make scientific discovery more urgent. The most dominant approach is imaging such as PET/CT. It utilizes radionuclide therapy in the tomography of the neck to identify cancerous locations, even within tumors. However, this information cannot be obtained at the radiology service for the entire facility which can be very expensive. Because of the high cost, there are many options available including the technology of digital pathology and tissue microarray, radiologic imaging, and PET/MRI for the non-invasive determination of cell necrosis, a byproduct or effect of radionuclide therapy. As a result, there has been a revival in radiology since the advent of the PET system which combines several different radiological imaging techniques in a single imaging modality. How this technology can be combined into the PET/CT in radiology stands out as being an interesting development as not only the presence of radiopharmaceutical in the blood might indicate whether there is cancer, but also the role of the imaging modality for radiology has been investigated. One of the newer developments has been the non-invasive imaging of bone or soft tissues through both non-invasive and invasive techniques. One of the most common ways to determine the bone or soft tissue on any CT machine is in soft tissue imaging. In soft tissue imaging, using a wide field x-ray system, for example, the bone is normally placed at the site of the bone in order to get a non-invasive, single images.
